I am grateful that over the years my artwork has found some homes, a few examples of these artwork are featured on this page. After stepping away for a couple of years, I am finding my way back to sharing on this page what I have been creating. Stay tuned as I am adding new work. As a Partial member with the essentials plan, I can currently list 10 artworks at a time.
Artist statement:
"We are each gifted in a unique and important way. It is our privilege and our adventure to discover our own special light" - Mary Dunbar.
My creative journey began along the coastal edges of Southern India near the Bay of Bengal, where ships, open water, and quiet harbor boundaries shaped my early view of the world. That early sense of curiosity and quiet observation stayed with me as life moved across oceans to Toronto: from crisp winter mornings made gentler by drinking warm chai to finding solace near the lake and surrounding greenery.
Navigating some life shifts, loss, and detours taught me that art isn't just something I choose to make; it is one of the anchors (along with family, friends and nature) that holds my core intact, allowing me to process emotion, manage change, and build a meaningful life on my own terms.
βIn my work, I blend expressive, loose brushwork with some deliberate detail to capture the hidden magic in everyday life. I draw deep inspiration from the natural world: the changing hues of the lake, plants, blue skies, floral elements, and whimsical animals. While I often observe human emotion from a quiet vantage point, art serves as my bridge to connect with others. It is a space where sensitivity meets bold exploration, capturing the sometimes subtle and sometimes vibrant colors and textures of the places and feelings that shape us.
βIn its own way, this space and my paintings are meant to offer a sense of warmth and sanctuary. I invite you to explore these visual stories, notice the details, and perhaps find a reflection of your own journey within them.
